What a show, what a show! They actually started EARLY because the venue hit them with an 11:00 pm curfew the day of the show. (And who does that? - most bands would just cut a few songs from their sets.) Consequently I missed the "possibly best-ever Jack Straw" (though there is an MSG one from September that is also a candidate, and 09/02/1979 is my personal favorite), but this is an amazing , roof-lifting show. Phil is just on fire - both nights, as 10/28 is also a barn-burner.

Perhaps my favorite part of the next night is to be found in the China/Rider transition jam. Stellar stuff. Oh, yeah, and the Franklins re-visit doesn't suck too much either.
